These amazing animals live on every continent—marshes and forests, deserts and tundra, plains and savannas. They range in size from an inch to 100 feet long—smaller than a thumb to bigger than a school bus. All of these reptiles have some similar characteristics, like scales or eggs. Some are nocturnal, meaning they hunt only at night; others are diurnal, which means they hunt during the day. While all reptiles have features that help them survive, they also depend on their surroundings to keep them safe—in air-conditioned modern buildings or under old barn boards – which is exactly why we need your help!
